Cade, Cannon and Sam spent the afternoon together swimming and playing and when it came time to leave Sam said he wanted to stay. He said he wanted to spend the night (if you know Sam, this isn't normal). So, we said "YES Sam, we'd love for you to stay." Angela said "see you in an hour" when she left because she knew she'd be coming back to pick him up. Well, after dinner, a bath and a movie.... it was bedtime. Sam said he wanted to sleep in Cade's bed which is fine. Then he said he wanted me to sleep beside him too. Not a problem except for the fact that Cade has a twin bed but, whatever it takes to make Sam happy. I found myself hanging off the side of the bed with one arm on the floor holding me up. Sam was a little nervous and scared so I told Cade not to say anything that might scare him. Cade, being the four year old that he is, said " Sam, I'm not going to talk about wolves and foxes and monsters and that kind of stuff okay." Sam responded with "monurs.....no monurs at your house". I said "no Sam, we don't have any monsters at our house." After what seemed like an hour of Cade and Sam talking and me telling them to be quiet and go "night night" Sam rolled over and I thought YEAH, he's going to sleep only for him to roll back over towards me with tears saying "mama, I want mama, I want LaLa (which is what my kids call Angela)." So, Sam and I made the 11:00 drive back to his house. Maybe next time!
Here are the boys "laughing it up" in the bathtub.

Here's to trying..one day I'll have to drag him away screaming he will want to stay so bad. But honestly, I was kinda glad to see him come home...crazy,huh? I wonder if I'll still be saying that in a couple of years.
