Lots of questions.

Cade is a child just like many who has a lot of questions. The problem is that his questions honestly cause me to question my own intelligence. He also asks the kind of questions that leave you sweating and fumbling for an answer. The questions about heaven and death started a year ago when his Granny Hardee died. For a few months last year I knew that everytime we got in the car the question would start. Whew. I would find myself wishing someone else were in the car to help me with an answer suitable for a 3 1/2 year old. Now a year later the questions continue and I realize how little I know. Here are a few of the Cade questions that I can remember...

How does our body get to heaven?
What color is God's house?
Does God have soft beds for us when we get there?
Is right now like a first heaven and heaven with God is like a second heaven?
What if it is raining when you die and you are trying to get to heaven? Does God make sure it doesn't rain when you die?
If honey is healthy, then why is Pooh fat?
Does a turtle have a "hieney"?
How does a baby cow know which cow is his mama? (as he looked at a pasture full of cows)
How do we move? Did God put batteries inside our bodies?
If God can see us then why can't we see him?
What does God look like?

A lot of thinking for a little boy. I'm sure he will have more for me on the way to preschool tomorrow and like always, I'll do my best to answer him.

This is Cade (age 2) on the day Cannon was born. All dressed up to meet his brother, holding his daddy's finger with flowers in his other hand for his Mama. So sweet!

Allyson, you can always tell him what my dad always told me whenever I had tough questions: "Ask your grandfather. He reads alot."

He is a smart boy! Those are tough questions! Can't believe he was so small when Cannon was born. Seems like yesterday.
