Sam and Cannon are only 18 days apart. This would explain their relationship. They are like brothers. They fight, they hug, they are very different and they both look up to Cade. I have heard Cannon say, "I don't like you Sam. You are mean. Sam, you want to come to my house?" This is how they are... a bittersweet relationship. The hard part for me is that I feel that I have never gotten a chance to have my own relationship with Sam because of timing. The timing of their births being so close. But, lately I am finally feeling like Sam and I have something. Something separate from me just being Cannon and Cade's mama and the one who referees between them and provides for them when they are at my house. Sam's interests are different from my boys' interests. He is crazy about tractors and has quite a bit of knowledge about them. When he gets to my house he wants to set up the farm animals. He is usually forced to put on a costume and is usually "Sam the Nice Cowboy" as he called himself yesterday. He is kind and polite. He is quiet and passionate. He will fight if necessary. He is strong and handsome. He is selfish with his love. To get a hug from him is like winning the lottery, the chance of getting one is about 1 in 5 million. He is not generous with the words "I love you" either. But, since he is like that (kind of like me) you know he means it when he says it. He usually cries when he has to leave or when we have to leave his house. I think it is so sweet that he loves the boys so much. I don't know what I'd do if he left happy or was ever ready to go. The day that happens I might be the one crying. I love Sam and I think the feeling might be mutual now.

On a side note:
Day 7... still no one knows Crunch kicked the bucket. Man, they really loved that hermit crab didn't they.

Allyson...thank you for this. A perfect account of my Sam. I love being able to read others thoughts on my sweet boys...how special.
I love you-
Angela
that is so sweet! It made me think of the time where I wanted to move to California (before the days of Scott) and one of the only reasons why I wanted to stay around here was for Dalton! Isn't it amazing how much you can love your nieces and nephews?? Can't wait to see you Sat! By the way, how do I get to Angela's blog???
