It's not just you, Jackie.

Sunday I went to a bridal shower for my sister Rebecca. I left a little early and asked my grandmother, Jackie, if she'd like me to take her to her car which was parked at my mom's house. When we were almost home Jackie (that's what I have always called her and since I am the oldest grandchild, the nine others call her Jackie as well) remembered she had left her purse in my mom's car. So she came back to my house to wait until my mom got home from the party with her purse. Jackie said, "Gosh, I'm dumb." I said, "No, you did something anyone would do." I thought man if she only knew all the things I have done lately....

I went to the grocery store with all three kids, got the kids loaded and drove off without my groceries. I didn't even realize it until I was almost home. I turned around and made it back in time to find my full cart still sitting where I left it in the parking lot.

Today, I looked up and saw that I had 3 miles until empty in my car. I noticed I had 42 miles until empty when I first got in the car and well, I didn't think about it again until I happened to look up and see that the 42 miles had become 3 miles. Good thing I was about a mile away from a gas station. I have never understood how someone can run out of gas. I mean how do you not know you need gas you have a gauge in front of you. Now I know!

I had started filling a sink with water only to leave the room and forget. When I returned I found water spilling out and the floors flooded. We have lovely, warped hard wood floors in the kitchen now. Good job Allyson.

You see Jackie. it can happen to anyone. Three kids and a lack of sleep have done a number on my brain. You have four children, ten grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. Hey, you are doing pretty dag on good I think!

My grandmother, Jackie.

Motherhood does do something to our brains! I was leaving Target the other day and the man had to chase me down to give me my change. Love the Thanksgiving picture. You made it worth the wait! Thanks for other night. Supper was great and it was fun hanging out with you.
