We are Yankees... temporarily that is. We made it to Connecticut. We left Monday evening and made it to Baltimore where we crashed. The boys were so excited over the hotel room because it was huge an so was the bathroom (handicapped). It was just the Hampton Inn but, you would have thought they had won the lottery. They were wild and tired which is a challenging combination in a hotel room. Cade said, "We have to stop here on the way back home." They thought the free breakfast was cool. Cannon said, "This is so fun." I need to get these boys out a little more. But then again, how sweet that the simplest thing like your choice of anything for breakfast is so amazing! We hit the road Tuesday morning and by 3:00 we were in Connecticut. The kids were awesome riders and I got quite lucky because I never hit any traffic, even through NYC. Connecticut is beautiful. It reminds me a lot of Cape Cod. The home we are at has a pool and we are 2 blocks from the beach. We brought the boys bikes which ends up being perfect because of the neighborhood we are in. The weather has been rainy and cool which stinks but, it is nice finally being with Corey. I have already had a few moments where I have wanted to pack the car back up and go home. Like when in the first hour Cannon "removed" the door handle of the back door and Cade pulled the screen door off track and left it in the middle of the floor. I got the screen fixed without having too big of a "freakin' fit" as Cannon puts it. He said, "Mama, are you gonna have a freakin' fit?" when he saw the screen door hit the floor. The knob is still broken. Tomorrow we leave for Long Island for a few days. The boys are looking forward to the ferry ride. It should be fun.
