mother's day.

Mother's Day started for me last Thursday at Cannon's Mother's Day Tea at preschool. The kids walked in with their classes and told all of us mom's "Happy Mother's Day!". We then had muffins and strawberries. I had a beautiful flower corsage made by Cannon waiting at my seat and a flower made by Cannon in a vase at the middle of the table. It was so nice and Cannon was so sweet. My favorite thing was seeing him walk in and after being cued to wave to their mom's Cannon waved for nearly two minutes after all the other kids had stopped he was still waving and smiling. I couldn't help but think back to seeing Cade walk in when I was at his Mother's Day Tea. Cade threw up his hand once and kept walking. Another reminder to me of just how different my boys are. As you will see, it was one of those times when Cannon was being silly when I wanted to take his picture. Oh well. It was a sweet time with my lovey-dovey, happy, silly boy. After this, we were off to pick up Cade and Landry to catch a surprise limousine ride to Kanki with Nana, Angela and her crew, Rebecca and G-ma. More fun!

Friday, I went to Cade's Mother's Day Tea. The class read all the mom's a page out of a book about mama's. They then presented us with beautiful flowers they had made and sang us a song. We then had lemonade and cookies at their tables. At the tables they had cards they had also made for us. It was fun having time like this with Cade in his class. He was sweet and quiet and really happy when he found out that the kids could be signed out early once the Tea was over.

We had a fun weekend with beautiful weather, Cade's t-ball game, playing at Sam & Jack's, a trip to Blockbusters, Will's Baby Dedication on Sunday at church, lunch Sunday at Mama's and then another trip to the neighborhood baseball field. Going to the baseball field in our neighborhood has turned into a daily activity. Cade says, "I've got a game Wednesday. I need to go practice." Truth is, he does want to go hit but what he and Cannon really like doing is riding their bikes or other riding toys to the ball field. I'm sure that is where we will be tonight. And tomorrow night...
