This weekend we were invited down to Atlantic Beach with the Ormonds. We gladly accepted the invitation and left Thursday after Cade's last day of school. Rodney and Corey have been friends since playing baseball together at NCSU. During professional ball these two worked out together everyday in the off season. Their schedule consisted of walking up at 11:00, watching Magnum PI, then working out all afternoon. Times have changed. We had such a great time with Rodney, Kate and Avery. They are such easy people to be around.  Laid back, which suits us perfectly! Rodney had to be maintenance man quite a bit this weekend fixing a hilarious toilet problem, the boat and the air conditioner. Glad he could do all that stuff. All I have to say is better Rodney than Corey.  Avery and Landry hit it off.  Landry would ask, "Where is my friend?" when she woke up each morning. Friday we hit up the beach. Cade and Cannon love trying to body surf with Corey. I love seeing the three of them out there together. Saturday, Rodney took us out on the boat to Shackelford Island. The boys loved the boat ride and were hoping to see the wild horses that live on the island. We never saw one horse but they didn't care because they were having such fun in the water. The boys would have spent the whole time doing cannonballs off the boat if we has let them. Sunday we went back over to the beach but with a little more sunscreen on than what we had on Saturday because some of us had gotten a little "cooked".  As we were packing to leave, Rodney discovered that his wedding band was missing. Last seen in the vicinity of the ring was Avery and Landry. Needless to say, we never got an answer out of the two girls as to where the ring might be. I'm really hoping it ended up in one of their bags. We all had fun and it was nice being with friends that you don't see enough despite the fact that they are just 30 minutes away in Cary.
