The other day, Angela helped me out by picking Cade up from school. I met her back at her house and let the kids play a little while before going home. As soon as we got in the car to head home Cade said, "Mama, I've got to tell you something. LaLa was drinking and driving." I said, "What?" He said again, "LaLa was drinking and driving today when she picked me up from school. I saw her. She was drinking a Sunkist on the way home." I started laughing. He asked, "Why is that bad? Why is drinking and driving bad?" I knew he must have heard about drinking and driving at school. I had never discussed it with him before now. So, I tried to explain what drinking and driving really means. It isn't easy explaining to a six year old, four year old and two year old what being drunk is and why you can't drive after drinking. After my little explanation Cannon said, "But, you can drink it when you sit on your couch, right?" And Landry pointed that little finger at me and said, "When I am a grown up I am not going to drink beer, I'm just going to drink Poke (Coke)."
