Yesterday, Corey was helping work a baseball camp along with many others including Russell Wilson and Trot Nixon. So, I knew my kids would love to meet these guys especially Russell. I also knew that Dalton and Parker would like meeting these guys, especially Dalton. So we headed up to the camp and all five were speechless when meeting these two. Completely speechless. They didn't say a single word. Even Dalton, the one most likely to talk, was quiet. They did muster up a thank you after getting their pictures made and gave each guy five. Then we headed off to a Wolfpack themed 5 year old birthday party for a boy in Cannon and Parker's class at preschool. We followed that up with a 16th birthday party for our cousin Sydney. It was a fun day for all.

Now I understand those parents who used to wait outside the clubhouses after college and minor league baseball games. The ones with their son who needed one more autograph or just to say hello again. Some of these same kids would be there every single game waiting, excited and always smiling. I didn't really get it then. Now I do. Now I realize how happy it makes little boys to meet their favorite players that they see on tv and admire. It also makes a mama happy to see these athletes being so kind.

You made Dalton's day! He had so much fun and has told everyone who he met. Thank you for thinking of my boys!
