The kids have been asking for a puppy for a long, long time. And, Corey and I have had a lot of excuses as to why we need to wait. Cannon asked for one for Christmas. He fully expected one. Well, Santa couldn't find the perfect dog in time so he left a note explaining that their puppy would be ready to leave his/her mommy sometime in January. We were thankful Santa bought us a little time. The letter bought us time and left the kids happy and no one was disappointed. So, Saturday Santa happened to call us to tell us where to find the puppy who was now "ready to leave his/her mommy". The kids were so surprised and thrilled. All three are being so good with this little girl. Cade is in charge of poop clean up. Cannon is in charge of pee clean up. And Landry is in charge of random messes that might occur. Our only problems are deciding her name and explaining to Landry several times a day why a dog can't have a bath every.single.day. She is so sweet and cuddly and I am certain she will be named soon. Hopefully today.
I am a mom to three. A wife to the one and only. A sister to two. I am a daughter. I am a friend. Most importantly, I am a Christian. I am a girl that doesn't believe in schedules, yet I am girl that loves lists and organization. I am a girl who strives to pray more, study the Bible more, be a good Mama and good wife. I am the person that everyone thinks is laid-back despite that fact that I am not. I am a girl that listens to sports radio. I am a girl that finds Terry Bradshaw hilarious. I am also a girl that has Will Smith on her ipod. Seriously. Maybe I shouldn't have admitted that. I love fall, jeans, cute shoes and Chick-Fil-A. I am a girl that wants to have happy and healthy children that know about Jesus and see Jesus in me each day. Mix that in with a good, Christian marriage and what else can you ask for?
This boy loves skunks, writing, blueberry muffins, taco pizza, a fierce game of hide-n-seek, and a great story. He has broken the world record for the number of times a person can ask "how do you spell..." in one day. He is a great big brother to Landry. He butts heads with his lil' brother Cannon and has been known to complain from time to time. He is brutally honest and calls things like he sees them (which is refreshing at times). He is handsome and tender-hearted. He has a short list of who he shares his affection with. I am thankful to be on the list. He is my sunshine.
Cannon
age 5
He loves lions, the color green, bananas, popsicles, sports, anything dangerous, and being funny. He is the kid that manages to look dirty by the time he takes his towel off from getting a bath. He is passionate. He can be hugging you and in a split second be having a complete meltdown over his shoes not going on as easily as he thinks they should. He is confident, strong, and handsome. He doesn't like anything that is "girl stuff." He can tell you about any ACC team and their mascot. He also holds a world record for asking "who is winning"the most times while a ballgame is on. He is cuddly and sweet. He is my chocolate cake.
Landry
age 4
She loves changing her clothes, wearing her "fast shoes", eating apples, and brushing her teeth. She loves pigs, pink and baby dolls. She really loves boy stuff just as much as her babies. She is sweet and loving. She also can be a little bull-headed. She likes to go places and see people. She is smart and fast. She is pretty and charming. She has a cute sense of humor to go along with her stubbornness. She is just what I needed. She is my twinkle.
