Poor Mr. Bobby.

Rest in Peace Mr. Bobby. You were a great hermit crab. We will all miss you. I'll always remember the way you would get so excited to see us when we would get home. You loved to play fetch and have your pincher rubbed. We were going to teach you how to roll over next. Seriously, I mean seriously people....a hermit crab could be the worst pet ever! Cannon's hermit crab Mr. Bobby died and I was outwardly saying "Oh, Cannon I'm so sorry that he died." On the inside I was saying Yeah! One down and one to go. I hope this doesn't offend you hermit crab lovers....please don't call PETA. One of the hermit crabs that they never play with much less even look at died.
I was cleaning their cage as I do every other day and put the hermit crabs in the sink. Crunch (Cade's hermit crab) began to walk around and well, Mr. Bobby didn't. Cannon pulled up his chair to the sink and said, Uh oh, Mama. It broke" Well, Mr. Bobby did "break" in a way because the entire hermit crab fell out of the shell when Cannon picked it up. He was definitely dead. The truth is, neither Cade nor Cannon cares. I have said many times, "Cade, I am going to give these hermit crabs to another kid that will play with them." His response is always, "Okay, can we trade them and get their dog instead?" So, the feeling is mutual around here. We don't love hermit crabs or even like the creatures that they HAD to have this summer after seeing their friend Dalton's. So, rest in peace Mr. Bobby...and Crunch, feel free to join him anytime!
