Today, the little boy who made me a mama turns five.

Here is our lil' buddy at one year.

Cade Lee could not be more excited about turning five. Despite a lot of begging for him to move backwards from four and be three again for me, this dreaded (only on my part) day has come. Cade Lee is five. Before he went to sleep last night, I said, " Cade, this will be your last night as a four year old. When you wake up you will be five." He said, "When you wake me up I am going to be bigger and taller and I am going to scream 'Wow-wie Ka-zow-wie I'm 5' !"

Today the itinerary is just as Cade requested: blueberry muffins for breakfast, the park after preschool, Taco Pizza from Pizza Inn for supper followed up by strawberry cake .....all of his favorites!

For a while now he has been talking about turning the BIG 5. I pretend to cry sometimes when he talks about being five and going to kindergarten. He thinks my fake tears are funny for some reason. My Mama told me that Cade told her that he is sure I will cry on his birthday. He had better watch out he just might get real tears.

Cade, thanks for the best five years of my life. I love you!
