Proud.

Cannon Lee was so proud of himself today. I woke him up and said,"Cannon today you get to go to school." He grinned before his eyes opened and said, "Yeah! I'm five. I'm five." I told him he would need to get his clothes on and then come to the kitchen to have breakfast. He quickly came in the kitchen all dressed and grinning. I asked him what he wanted for breakfast and he said, "What does Cade eat before school?" I started fixing his lunch box as he ate his pancakes and he said, "Put whatever Cade eats in his lunch box in my lunch box." He was so proud of himself as he walked out the front door with his lunch box and book bag. Miss Missy is his preschool teacher. She was also Cade's 3-year teacher. She is a friend of mine and just the sweetest person! I knew Cannon would be fine but I still had a little knot in my stomach until I could pick him up. I walked in to get him and his dimpled smile was beaming as he was called up to get his sticker. When we got to the car I asked, "Cannon how was school?" In his loud, deep voice said, "School is AWESOME!" I am so glad he loved it. He told me all about his day...every little detail. I am so proud of my Chocolate Cake. I hope tomorrow will be just as great for Cade as he has his first day of kindergarten. Oh, I feel a knot coming back in my stomach...
